ITINERARY:
4 DAYS TOUR FROM MARRAKECH
We will pick you up today at your hotel in Marrakech and take you to Ouarzazate through the High Atlas Mountains, touring several Berber villages and enjoying the scenery.
In addition, you will have the opportunity to visit a Berber women's cooperative to learn how they make argan oil.
Included in our tour is the Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou, the largest Kasbah in Morocco, which has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
After lunch at the Kasbah, we will depart for the Dades Valley via Ouarzazate, known as the "Hollywood of Africa".
Before arriving at Kalaat Mgouna, where the rose festival is celebrated every May, we will explore the road of a thousand Kasbahs.
For the night, we will stay in a riad or hotel in the Dades Gorges, with dinner and breakfast included.
After a hearty breakfast at the riad, we will take a scenic hike into the valley to observe how the "monkey fingers" are formed.
From the Dades valley towards Tinghir and the Todra valley, we can admire the breathtaking views of the ancient Berber mud settlements that sit on the cliffs of the valley.
You can walk under the 300 meter high red cliff that attracts many climbers for their favorite activity when we reach the Gorge.
After lunch in Rissani, we will continue towards Erfoud and then to the village of Merzouga, where your camel awaits you.
After receiving a cup of mint tea and a desert scarf, you will start your camel ride through the mysterious sand sea of Erg-Chebbi.
You can spend the night here under the stars or, if you wish, in a nomad Berber tent.
When you have breakfast early in the morning, you can watch the sun rise over the Sahara Desert.
After these unforgettable experiences, you will return by camel to the lodge to check in and refresh yourself with a hot shower.
You can enjoy a 4x4 excursion through the dunes of Lake Dayate Sarji, which rises in the spring and attracts pink flamingos and other animals. Observe the indigenous family camping in a tent.
In the settlement of Khamlia, you can listen to the spiritual chanting of the Gnawa. In Merzouga, you will take a break for lunch.
After lunch, you will visit the oasis at the foot of the dunes and learn about the canal irrigation system.
Spend the whole day and night in your hotel or riad, eating and relaxing in the shower.
After enjoying a hearty breakfast and a relaxing shower at the inn, we will depart for Fez.
We will drive through Errachidia and the impressive Ziz gorges, carved in volcanic rock, towards Midelt. On our route, we will stop in Zaida for a barbecue and mint tea before heading to Azrou.
A Berber village in the Middle Atlas Mountains where we can observe the jungle monkeys in their home in the cedar forest.
Afterwards, we will visit Ifrane, also known as the French village or the Switzerland of Morocco, where we will have a drink and take pictures before heading to our accommodation in Fez for the night.
